UDIA is delighted to co-host a special event with CHIA NSW which will bring developers, CHPs and all interested stakeholders together to better understand the policy changes NSW Government introduced to boost the provision of affordable housing as part of the answer to the Housing Crisis.

The Government introduced amendments to its Housing SEPP to encourage developers to build more affordable homes. The amendments allow residential development projects to apply for a floor space ratio bonus of up to 30%, and a height of building bonus of up to 30%, where at least 10% of the gross floor area is dedicated as affordable housing. This presents a valuable opportunity for developers discuss how to practically work together with CHPs to deliver the additional affordable housing NSW needs.  

Chris Ferreira, Head of Planning at Urban Property Group will provide a case study on his company’s award winning Navali development which delivered high quality, affordable housing. Following his presentation, we will be joined by guest panelists, Lisa Sorrentino from City West Housing, Lindsey Grey from Bridge Housing and Cameron Jackson from Frasers Property Australia.
