As members would be aware, the NSW Government this week announced that the Greater Cities Commission is set to be disbanded. In light of this announcement, we will now be joined by Kiersten Fishburn, Secretary, NSW Department of Planning and Environment at our Christmas Lunch in place of Chris Hanger. 

At the lunch, Kiersten will outline how DPE will take over the function of strategic planning and setting housing targets; when we can expect new Region Plan and City Plans to be finalised and how these Plans and housing targets will align with the national housing targets. She will also provide an update on the range of new initiatives and policies announced by the NSW Government aimed to increase housing supply.

Also at the lunch we are delighted to announce that we will be inducting Vanessa Pearson as a UDIA NSW Life Member. Vanessa had a vision to nurture the next generation in our industry and through her commitment to the implementation of the successful UDIA NSW & nbn Legends & Legacy Program in 2019, she demonstrated what it actually takes to turn an innovative idea into a reality.
