Queers in Property (QIP) in collaboration with the UDIA NSW Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee invite you to a special lunch presentation showcasing the Inclusive Place-based Planning for LGBTQIA+ Communities Project.
Joining us for this event will be guest speakers Dr Jason Prior from the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney; Dr Edgar Liu, Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney and
Rebecca Cadorin, Associate at Arup.

Funded by the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, this collaborative project investigates how city planning can help improve the senses of belonging, home and safety of our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Gender Diverse, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and other sexual minority (LGBTQIA+) communities living in the Six Cities Region.

This research builds on the UK based project, Queering Public Space (Catteral & Azzouz 2021), and the Queering Cities in Australia Project (Gorman-Murray et al. 2022). The project aims to provide recommendations for creating more inclusive public spaces for the LGBTQIA+ communities and ultimately a tool that will guide urban policy and practice in NSW.

This event is hosted by Stockland and includes a light lunch.
