Join us for this special edition of UDIA National TV as we launch the 2022 edition of our highly anticipated UDIA State of the Land report, the industry’s most comprehensive annual health check of the nation’s greenfield land and new apartment markets. This virtual event we feature presentations and Q&A with our Research Partners from CoreLogic (Tim Lawless, Head of Research) and Research4 (Colin Keane, Director) who will provide an overview of the key residential market trends illuminated in the State of the Land report and a forward outlook for market performance across 2022. 

Tim Lawless

Tim is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading property market analysts and commentators by business and the media. As the founder of the CoreLogic Australian research division (formerly RP Data), Tim’s expertise across property markets has positioned him as one of the country’s most experienced and popular property market analysts and commentators. His knowledge and expertise is sought after by myriad government entities and regulators as well as national and international corporate entities operating across property, banking and financial sectors. As group Research Director, Tim heads up a team of analysts across both Australia and New Zealand and is responsible for reporting on property market conditions and the interplay with economic and demographic factors. Tim has more than 15 years’ experience in similar roles and holds a Bachelor of Business degree, specialising in information management, from the Queensland University of Technology.



Colin Keane
Director Research4

Colin Keane is Director of Research4 [www.researchfour.com]. Researh4’s signature research program is the National Land Survey Program [NLSP]. The NLSP monitors in detail the performance of the nation’s major Greenfield land markets. Established in 2005, The NLSP is Australia’s longest running and most detailed audit of Greenfield land estates. 

The survey to date has monitored in excess of 2,000 land estates delivered by 850 land developers across 44 new land markets. The research program monitors 50% of Australia's  new housing sector on a full time basis. Colin has spent the past 15 years researching the residential land markets of Australia. Prior to Research4, Colin was Director of Market Research for the Docklands Corporation [Melbourne], followed by being the Director of Market Research for Victoria’s lead development agency [VicUrban].
